Artists from diverse genres hailing from the 12 cities in the music field of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network will perform at the World Music Concert. From Japan, world-renowned trumpeter, Tiger Okoshi, will perform together with the Kitanodai Gagaku Ensemble, and from Hamamatsu itself, the WMF2016 Special Band, formed by the Philharmonic Winds Hamamatsu, Hamamatsu Koto Music Research Society, Hamamatsu Youth Wind Orchestra, and several other musical ensembles from Hamamatsu, will also perform. The concert will culminate with a finale performance by JUN MIYAKE – wmf2016. This special unit, formed by musical director, Jun Miyake, features several artists who perform around the world in a joint performance with the Hamamatsu Philharmony Orchestra.
