No-Maddz is an eclectic group of talented musicians from Kingston, Jamaica.
Their ingenious musical productions and performances are rooted in their Dub Poetry background and uniquely spiced with a variety of music genres while maintaining the spirit of Jamaican Roots Reggae. Their latest album, Sly and Robbie presents No-Maddz, was released in February 2015 and is testament to the poetry of their c raft. “A we hav’ di license fi mad” is No-Maddz’s popular mantra that is loosely translated to mean that these men have the sole authorization in the industry to be mad, and their performance leaves no doubt of this fact. Their chemistry in the studio and on the stage illustrates a key feature of the band – brotherhood. Other unique features include their ital lifestyle, classic fashion, and Rastafarian faith. The No-Maddz is made up of members Christopher Gordon, Sheldon Shepherd, O’neil Peart, Everald Creary and the latest addition to the band, Christopher Downer.
They are all recipients of the prestigious Jamaica Prime Minister Youth Award for Excellence in the field of Arts and Culture; the highest state award for youth in Jamaica.
The group’s hit single Rise Above Profanity, which was featured on PUMA FAAS global campaign alongside top world athlete Usan Bolt, remains the band’s best seller. They have toured several countries in Europe, Asia and North America including appearances on major festivals such as Rhur and Reggae Jam Festival (Germany), Reggae Geel (Belgium), Daegu Festival (Korea), Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (California, USA) and Irie Jamboree (New York, USA) to name a few.
